Overview

The Severn class is the largest lifeboat in the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) fleet. Introduced in 1995, this all-weather vessel is designed to take on the worst sea conditions, making it ideal for long offshore searches and rescues. With a top speed of 25 knots, it can reach casualties fast, carrying a small powered Y boat launched by an integral crane for rescues near rocks or in shallow waters.

This 1/72 scale kit from Airfix enables you to build a fully detailed model of this vital RNLI vessel. The kit includes full details of the outside deck, hull, and fittings. The cabin roof is removable, allowing the fully detailed interior to be viewed after completion.
